Briefly, the fact is as follows. Superintendent of Police Shri. Somay Munde was ordered and directed to expose the crimes of theft and burglary in Latur district. Accordingly, Under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Dr. Ajay Devere, Sub Divisional Police Officer Latur City Mr. Bhagwat Funde and under the leadership of Police Inspector of Local Crime Branch Mr. Gajanan Bhatalwande, various teams of LCB staff were formed and investigations were being conducted in relation to house burglaries in the district.
Information of criminals in Latur district as well as other districts adjacent to Latur district was being extracted. Informant were appointed to get information about criminals. The work of analyzing the information received through them as well as the technical information is started.
Meanwhile, a reliable information was received from the confidential informent that the suspected accused who committed domestic crimes in the limits of various police stations in Latur city are criminals from habitual in Beed and Ahmednagar districts. On receipt of such reliable information, on 02/11/2022 a team of Local Crime Branch was dispatched to Beed, Ahmednagar district. The said team reached there and after verifying the information received from the confidential informant, on 03/06/2023, the team knows names of the accused in the case of burglary in Latur district are as follows.
1) Amol Dharma Igwe, 28 years, resident of Umapur taluka Gevrai district Beed.
2) Ganesh Milind Suryavanshi, aged 23 years, resident of Ghoomegaon, Taluka Gevrai District Beed.
3) Vikas Sunil Ghodke, aged 27 years, residing at Main Road, Shevgaon Taluk Shevgaon District Ahmednagar.
Accused Nos. 1 to 3 were taken into custody and interrogated by the team. They confessed that they along with one more accomplice accused committed burglary at various places in Latur city and stolen gold and silver ornaments and cash. After investigation, it has been found that 3 house burglary crimes were committed in Latur City police station Shivajinagar area and 4 house burglary crimes were committed in police station MIDC area and a stolen property total of ₹4,08,000/- sized by the team.
The team of the local crime branch is searching for the absconding accused and the police officers of Shivajinagar and MIDC police stations are conducting further investigation.
