 Solapur AIMIM demands 50% house tax exemption

On Friday Solapur city Unit of AIMIM (All India Majlis Ittihadul Muslimeen) has demanded 50% house tax exemption. Delegation led by Riyaz Kharidi (Councillor and group leader) met Mayor of the city Munciple corporation and submitted the Memorandum.


According to memorandum, Solapur is a city of labourers, Corona crisis has badly hit the economic conditions of the people. Since last six month people are suffering and scrambling to win bread and butter for their families, in such condition people are not at all able to pay taxes,It added.


Speaking with Laturreport.in Riyaz Kharadi said that people were expecting financial assistance, elecritcity bills exemption and other relaxation from the centre and state government because lockdown has disturbed their regular income sources ,they can't pay  the taxes of the local bodies.


 He father said that, no such things happened, surprisingly 50 rupees cleanliness tax has been imposed which is causing financial burden on citizens. 


Madam Mayor has assured us to look into the matter sincerely and take some positive decisions, Riyaz added. 


Seven Council members of the party (AIMIM) including Toufiq Shaikh, Azhar Hundekari, Wahida bi shaikh, Poonam Bansode etc were a present.
