                 Briefly fact is as follows. Superintendent of Police Mr. Somay Munde had guided and given instructions to the police officers of the district for the complete eradication of illegal business in the district.  Accordingly, Assistant Superintendent of Police Chachur and Ahmedpur division Shri.Niketan Kadam have formed a team of police personnels of the sub division and instructed and guided them to take action on illegal business within the jurisdiction of Sub Division Chakur and Ahmedpur. A special campaign is being implemented.

              Meanwhile, the team got confidential information. The team raided a house at Shaheed Nagar, Nalegaon in Chakur taluka and a house at Samata Nagar, Shirur Tajband in Ahmedpur taluka and found 1.310 kg and 4.94 kg of banned seed mixed ganja, iron sword, respectively, storaged in the house for illegal sale of ganja. An iron sword and a motorcycle along with banned ganja was also recovered during a raid at a house in Samta Nagar at Shirur Tajband in Ahmedpur taluka.

 2) one woman.

           A case has been registered against them under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985, Arms Act 1959,  IPC. A total value of seized property including stored seed mixed ganja, a motorcycle and an iron sword is ₹93,100/-  have been seized.

Also the names of the accused in the proceedings at Chachur

 1) Salim Valisab Mujawar, aged 41 years, resident of Shaheed Nagar, Nalegaon.  Taluka Chachur.

           Against this, a case has been registered at Police station Chakur under the Crime Register No. 53/2023 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and seized 4.94 kg mixed cannabis seeds Ganja stored by him for illegal sale approximately value is₹ 49, 400/- have been recovered and it has been sized.

                In the above mentioned two cases, 5.4 kg of prohibited ganja value worth ₹1,42,500/- has been seized. The accused have been arrested.  Further investigation of the crime is being carried out by the police station Chakur and Ahamadpur.

               On the orders of the Superintendent of Police Mr. Somay Munde, a large-scale raid and action is being taken against those who doing illegal business in the district.  As a part of this, on 11/02/2023, in a day-long operation in Ahmedpur and Chakur talukas under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Mr. Somay Munde, Additional Superintendent of Police Dr. Ajay Devere, Assistant Superintendent of Police of Chakur and Ahmedpur Mr. Niketan Kadam, Police Inspector Balaji Mohite, Assistant Police Inspector Ramchandra Kedar, Police Sub-Inspector Jadhav, Police Constable Gangadhar Shingade Chilkote Padmakar, Suraj Sheikh, Sunil Srirame, Vishnu Mamadge, Suryakant Kalme, Balasaheb Ghadge, Sachin Kamble, Women Police Constable Seema Suravse Srimangle in the team led by Assistant superintendent of police Mr. Niketan Kadam has done the said performance.
