Performance of Kingaon police accused in the crime of murder arrested from Pune, granted two days police custody.*

 

 Brief fact is as follows. On 14/04/23 at around 07.00 am, a dead body of an unknown person aged approximately 30 to 35 years was found under a lemon tree in the field at Police Station Kingaon Mohgaon Road, with a wound on the head and a blood-stained stone beside.  On getting information about the incident, the police registered a case under section 302 of the IPC on the complaint that an unknown person was killed by an unknown accused.  Bhausaheb Khandare, Assistant Police Inspector, Police Station Kingaon was investigating the said crime as per instructions and guidance given by the Superintendent of Police Mr. Somay Munde to open the case.

             During the investigation, after establishing the identity of the dead unknown person in the said crime, after analyzing the information obtained on the basis of the confidential informant, it was found that the said crime was committed by the accused Tejas Shirsat, resident of Shirsatwadi.

             Accused Tejas Shirasath was wanted in police records since 14/04/2023, police teams were formed to arrest him.  He was not in touch with any relatives or friends.  Therefore, finding the accused was a tough and challenging task for the police.

At the scene of the crime, Mr. Niketan Kadam, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Chakur Charge Ahmedpur and Mr. Ajay Deore, Additional Superintendent of Police personally visited and gave important guidelines for investigation.  Also to find the accused Under the guidance of

Mr. Somay Munde, Superintendent of Police, Latur, a police team was formed and dispatched to various places. Based on the information received by the said team, the team went to Pune and collected all kinds of confidential information about the accused. On the basis of that information, on 22/04/2023, the police team arrested accused Tejas Shirsat with the help of local police at Chakan area, Pune.  The accused has confessed the crime by admitting that he committed the murder due to minor abuse while drinking alcohol, and the work of capturing the evidence is going on as per his confession. When accused presented before the Hon. court,  the court remanded him in police custody for two days.

                 Mr. Bhausaheb Khandare, Assistant Police Inspector and PSI Sandeep Anyaboinwad, ASI Shri.  Gokhare, police officials Shivaji Toparpe, Nagnath Katle, Sunil Srirame expose the said crime and have played a vital role in arresting the criminal in a very short period of time after solving a serious crime like murder.
